THE Lottopar announced this Wednesday (22) the beginning of the implementation process of the international standard ISO/IEC 27001, focused on Information Security Management (SGSI). According to the authority, the measure aims to improve its internal structure and consolidate its position as a reference in monitoring a safe and responsible gaming environment in Paraná.
To conduct the process, Lottopar hired a specialized consultancy that will carry out a detailed analysis of its processes, systems and infrastructure, identifying the current level of compliance and the necessary adjustments to achieve the certification requirements.

The initiative to seek ISO 27001 certification adds to our ongoing work to guarantee a transparent and trustworthy gaming environment for the citizens of Paraná. We want to be recognized as an authority that establishes the highest standard of security and responsibility in its operations” states Lottopar’s CEO, Daniel Romanowski.
What is the ISO/IEC 27001 Standard?
ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in conjunction with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Its importance lies in providing a robust framework for managing risks related to information security. The standard establishes the essential requirements, processes and controls to protect business and third-party data. The main objective of the standard is to protect information through the Information Security Triad:
Confidentiality – Ensure that information is only accessed by authorized people.
Integrity – Ensure that information is not altered, modified or damaged unduly or accidentally.
Availability – Keep information accessible and usable whenever necessary for the organization’s operation.
