THE IGI Expo 2025 officially began this Wednesday morning (12), bringing together leaders, operators, regulators and representatives of the main entities in the betting sector in Brazil. The event, which takes place on the 12th and 13th of November, is consolidated as one of the main meeting points to discuss the future of iGaming in the country — both in the regulatory scenario and in the sustainable development of the market.
The opening panel, held from 9:00 am to 9:55 am, had as its theme “The role of associations in defending the betting industry”. The discussion was moderated by Natália Nogues (AMIG) and was attended by representatives of the main associations in the sector:

- Plínio Lemos Jorge (ANJL)
- Ana Clara Barros (AIGaming)
- Ana Helena Pamplona (ABRAJOGO)
- Rafael Marcondes (ABFS)
- Amilton Noble (Hebara)
Throughout the panel, participants highlighted the importance of coordinated action by entities to ensure legal certainty, balanced competition, responsible practices and a healthy operating environment. The associations’ next steps in light of the ongoing regulations in Brazil were also discussed, reinforcing the role of constant dialogue with the government, legislative houses, the press and society.

The conversation reinforced a central point: market growth depends on institutional union. Collaboration between entities and players is one of the keys for Brazil to consolidate a competitive, transparent and sustainable ecosystem in the long term.
