THE Federal Revenue released this Monday (22) federal tax collection data for the month of November, with emphasis on the regulated sports betting and lottery sector. According to the organization, accumulated revenue from January to November this year reached R$8.82 billion.
In November alone, the federal government raised R$852 million from the segment, a 6,454% jump compared to November 2024, when R$64 million was collected in a context of rules still being implemented.

The data was detailed in a press conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, with the participation of the head of the Center for Tax and Customs Studies, Claudemir Malaquias, and the coordinator of Forecasting and Analysis of the Federal Revenue, Marcelo Gomide, with live broadcast on the department’s official channel on YouTube.
Of the total collected in the year to date, R$1.897 billion corresponds to taxes such as PIS/Pasep and Cofins, while R$1.536 billion comes from the collection of IRPJ and CSLL on companies in the segment. The largest share, R$3.114 billion, is the result of the Union’s participation in Lottery and Fixed Quota Betting Revenue.
Experts and sector representatives also project that, by the end of 2025, the segment could generate up to R$9 billion in federal and municipal taxes, according to surveys commissioned by entities that monitor the market.
