THE Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF) opened, this Friday (30), a public consultation to receive contributions on the draft Ordinance that will regulate the recognition of the operational capacity of service providers for fixed-odd betting agents in Brazil.
According to the SPA/MF Public Consultation Notice No. 1/2026published in the Official Gazette of the Union, the process will be open for 45 days, between February 4 and March 23, 2026. The objective is to gather suggestions and information that support the development of standards that will define technical criteria for the performance of supplier companies in the sector.
Participation is open to any natural or legal person, who may send contributions through the Brasil Participativo Portal, in the section “Recognition of the technical operational capacity of service providers for betting operating agents”.
Once the deadline has passed, the manifestations will be analyzed by the Prizes and Betting Secretariat, as provided for in Decree No. 12,002/2024, which regulates the functioning of the sports betting and online gaming market in the country.
The initiative is part of the stage of consolidating the rules of the regulated betting market, the implementation of which has been carried out by the Treasury since 2024, in accordance with Laws nº 13,756/2018 and 14,790/2023.
