Lotep highlights advances in the Ombudsman's Office and reinforces transparency in 2025

THE Paraíba State Lottery (Lotep) highlighted the advances in the modernization and organization of the municipality’s Ombudsman’s Office in 2025. The information is contained in the 2025 Management Report, released by the General Ombudsman’s Office of the State of Paraíba.

During the last year, the Lotep Ombudsman’s Office received 67 manifestations, including requests for information, complaints and reports. Of these, 31 were completed. Most of the demands dealt with doubts related to lottery activity, reinforcing the unit’s role as a channel for dialogue, guidance and institutional transparency.

Among the actions implemented by the authority are the improvement of internal routines, the reinforcement of deadline control and the standardization of official communications. The Ombudsman’s Office also started using the OuvidorIA system, a tool made available by the State Ombudsman’s Office that allows monitoring the progress of demands, issuing management reports and guaranteeing the confidentiality and protection of citizens’ data.

The work takes place in an integrated manner with Lotep’s Internal Controls Management, contributing to strengthening governance, integrity and administrative efficiency.

According to Lotep’s ombudsman and internal controller, José Eduardo Alves Cunha, the improvements consolidate a solid basis for serving citizens. “In 2025, Lotep consolidated the operational base of the Ombudsman’s Office, with routines, flows and tools that guarantee greater efficiency in responding to the population, strengthening citizen listening and institutional transparency,” he stated.

Lotep also highlighted that strengthening the Ombudsman’s Office is part of Lotep’s strategic actions aimed at transparency, social participation and administrative modernization. The authority intends to expand the sector’s activities in the coming years, aligning itself with state guidelines for public governance and continuous improvement of the services provided.
