THE CAIXA Lotteries announced this Wednesday (13), the increase in the estimated prize for the Mega-Sena 30th anniversary special contest. The draw, which initially provided for payment of R$150 million, is now expected to distribute R$200 million.
Competition 3010 will be held on May 24th and will follow the rules of special CAIXA Lottery competitions, with no possibility of accumulation. If no one guesses all six numbers correctly, the prize will be divided between those who guess correctly in the corner and, if necessary, in the other lanes.
Bets for the special competition can be placed until 10pm on May 23rd at lotteries across the country, via the CAIXA Lotteries portal, official CAIXA application and Internet Banking. A simple bet, with six numbers, costs R$6.
According to CAIXA, from Sunday (17th), all Mega-Sena bets will be exclusive to the 30th anniversary competition.
If a single bettor wins R$200 million alone and fully invests the amount in CAIXA savings, the income in the first month would be approximately R$1.34 million, considering the current investment parameters.
Launched on March 11, 1996, Mega-Sena is the main modality of the CAIXA Lotteries and has already generated R$115.2 billion over three decades. During this period, according to the state-owned company, R$43.8 billion in prizes and R$46 billion in social transfers were distributed.
CAIXA estimates that, with the 30-year special competition alone, more than R$96 million will be allocated to areas such as sport, education, culture, public security and social security, as provided for in federal lottery legislation.
The draw will be held at 11am on May 24th, with live transmission on the social networks of Loterias CAIXA, CAIXA YouTube channel and G1 portal.
In addition to Mega 30 Anos, CAIXA also announced a series of special competitions over the next few months, including Loteca themed competitions during the World Cup and the traditional Quina de São João.
