Lottopar carries out a new training cycle on sporting integrity for Athletico Paranaense athletes

This Tuesday (17), Lottopar held another stage of the training cycle aimed at sporting integrity and awareness about betting. The initiative was aimed at the youth categories of Club Athletico Paranaense and took place at the Caju Training Center.

This is the municipality’s second consecutive participation in the club’s training program, reinforcing the institutional partnership and joint commitment to the ethical training of young athletes. The meeting brought together players and members of the coaching staff from the Under-14 and Under-16 categories. The cycle will continue on the 20th, with the participation of athletes from the Under-17 category.

The training was led by Lottopar’s Director of Operations, Fábio Veiga, and the Chief of Staff, Pablo Wosniacki, who presented content and promoted debates with the participants.

Among the main topics covered were legal updates related to sports betting in Brazil, the legal prohibition on athlete participation — including restrictions on first-degree family members —, in addition to the presentation of real cases of manipulation in national and international football. Guidelines were also discussed on how to act in the face of grooming attempts by criminal organizations and good practices in the use of social networks, with a focus on reputation and professional integrity.

The approach adopted prioritized accessible language and practical examples, taking into account the age group of the athletes. The objective was to expand understanding of the risks involved and strengthen the culture of integrity from the youth teams down.

The action is part of a broader prevention and education strategy, which recognizes that sports training goes beyond performance on the field, encompassing ethical, legal and behavioral aspects. In this context, Lottopar’s actions reinforce its institutional role in promoting responsible gambling, protecting young athletes and combating illicit practices that could compromise the credibility of the sport.

Athletico’s Human Development Coordinator, Patrícia Manica highlighted the importance of the initiative. According to her, treating the issue preventively is essential to prepare athletes not only for sport, but also for life.

“Talking about sporting integrity with our athletes from an early age is a fundamental responsibility within the training process. More than developing performance on the field, we want to prepare these young people to make conscious and ethical decisions throughout their career and life. Having Lottopar as a partner in this work further strengthens Athletico’s commitment to the integral training of our athletes”, he stated.

Fábio Veiga highlighted that the continuity of the initiative demonstrates Athletico’s concern with the integral training of the players. For the director, education and information are fundamental tools in preventing risks such as manipulation of results and harassment by illicit organizations.

“This is the second year that we have been invited by the club’s Human Development coordinator, Patrícia Manica, which clearly demonstrates Athletico’s concern with the comprehensive training of its athletes”, he highlighted.
