CAIXA Loterias launches special contest for 30 years of Mega-Sena

THE CAIXA Lotteries announced on Friday (24), the holding of a special draw to celebrate 30 years of Mega-Sena. Mega 30 Anos, contest 3010 will have a prize estimated at R$150 million and will have a non-accumulation rule, along the lines of the state-owned company’s special contests. Bets can be placed from 10am this Sunday (26th), while the draw is scheduled for May 24th.

According to CAIXA, if there are no winners in the main bracket, with six numbers correct, the amount will be distributed among the winners in the second bracket, with five numbers, and so on.

Created on March 11, 1996, Mega-Sena completes three decades in 2026, consolidated as the most popular lottery in the country. According to the state-owned company, the modality has already generated R$115.2 billion since the first draw, in addition to distributing R$43.8 billion in prizes and transferring R$46 billion to social areas, such as education, sport, culture and public safety.

If a single player wins the total prize and chooses to invest the amount in CAIXA’s savings account, the monthly income could be around R$1 million, depending on economic conditions and the application rules in force.

Mega-Sena draws prize of R$100 million this Thursday

To participate, the bettor must choose between six and 20 numbers from the 60 available on the wheel. A single bet, with six tens, costs R$6. Bets can be registered until 10pm (Brasília time) on May 23rd at lottery outlets, on the Loterias CAIXA portal, on the official app and on CAIXA Internet Banking.

The commemorative edition will also have new features in the online prizes, which can be purchased up to one hour before the draw, on May 24th. On digital channels, users will be able to filter options by lottery, number of shares, price range and number of tens bet.

In addition to Mega 30 Anos, CAIXA informed that it is preparing a series of special competitions in the coming months. The program includes the unprecedented Copa da Loteca, with four themed competitions linked to the World Cup in June, and the traditional Quina de São João, known for the non-accumulating prize rule.

According to the state-owned company, the details and strategies of the next special competitions will soon be announced on the official channels of the CAIXA Lotteries.
